A special Fajr Athan
Fajr has its own Athan voice, chosen separately from the other four prayers on the dashboard. It plays through the same routine as your other Athans, so there is nothing extra to set up.
To hear it now, say “Alexa, ask Muslim Companion to play fajr athan”.
Wake up before Fajr with Home Scenes
Home Scenes are optional sensors in your Alexa app that open at the right time for your own routines. The wake-up scene opens 10 to 45 minutes before the Fajr Athan; you choose how long before on the dashboard.
Create a routine on it that, for example, turns the bedroom lights on at 20% in warm white, then brighter when the scene closes. Any Alexa-compatible bulb, switch or light group works.
There is also a scene at the Athan (for example, to dim the lights while it plays) and a night scene after Isha for a calm evening.
After Fajr
- Morning adhkar: turn on “Alexa, ask Muslim Companion to turn on morning and evening adhkar” to hear Ayat al-Kursi and the three Quls after Fajr.
- Quran: a surah after the Athan, or continuous recitation.
- Friday Kahf: every Friday, Surah Al-Kahf plays after the Fajr Athan when you turn on Friday Kahf.
